General Information

U.S. citizens and legal residents should provide the following items to Wright Flyers at least 30 days before your desired start date:

1. Completed Registration Form [please use the electronic form at the bottom of this page]

2. Completed and signed Credit Card Authorization Form, or $1,000 fully refundable scheduling deposit [see "Payment Options" below]

International Students

In addition to completing the online Registration Form [at the bottom of this page], International students applying for an M-1 Full Time Student Visa should provide the following items to Wright Flyers at least 60 days before your desired start date:

1. A documented TOEFL test score of at least 450 (155 on the Computer Based Test), or demonstrate in person or by phone that you meet the FAA's English language proficiency requirements.

2. A copy of a letter from your bank indicating you have the funds to pay for flight training and living expenses while in the U.S. You will take the original letter to your M1 Student Visa interview at the U.S. Embassy or Consulate. If another person or organization is acting as your financial sponsor, we require a letter from your sponsor stating this. We will also need a letter from your sponsor's bank or lending institution indicating they have the funds to pay for your flight training and living expenses while you are in the United States.

3. $1,000 fully refundable scheduling deposit, plus an additional $200 non-refundable document processing fee - $1,200 total [see "Payment Options" below].

Once you complete the three steps shown above, Wright Flyers will prepare and send your Forms I-20 and I-901 to you via international courier service. You must take these forms to your M-1 Student Visa interview at the United States Embassy or Consulate in your country.

After you enter the United States on your M-1 Visa, you may leave the country and be readmitted to the United States after temporary absences. When making your travel plans, please remember that you must be a full-time student to keep your M-1 student status. Upon your return to the United States, you should provide immigration inspectors with:

• A valid passport
• A valid M-1 entry visa stamped in the passport (if necessary)
• A current USCIS Form I-20 ID signed by your designated school official (you should have the designated school official sign your USCIS Form I-20 each time you wish to temporarily travel outside the United States)
• A new USCIS Form I-20 M-N/ID if there have been any substantive changes in your course of study or place of study
• Proof of your financial support

Once you arrive in San Antonio, we will help you register with the United States Transportation Security Administration's "Alien Flight Student Program". FAA Medical Certificate

New students should obtain an FAA Class III Medical Certificate before starting their flight training. The basic medical exam usually takes less than one hour and costs less than $100. To locate an FAA Medical Examiner near you, please go the listing on the FAA's website.

Payment Options

Wright Flyers accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover Card, travelers checks, cashiers checks, local personal checks, cash and bank wire transfers. Please contact our Accounting Manager if you wish to wire funds or make payments by credit card.

Wright Flyers does not require course prepayments. Most students choose to pay as they go. At the student's discretion, funds may be left on account and used for flight and ground instruction.

Refunds

Cancellations, with full refunds, are accepted up to two weeks prior to registered start date. The $200 document processing fee for international students is not refundable once a Form I-20 has been issued by Wright Flyers.
